Genesee Valley Conservancy - Nature Preserve
Looking for a place to go for a nice quite scenic walk? Visit our Island Preserve property in the village of Geneseo.

You can park at the base of Cavalry Drive, (or walk from the Village). A mowed trail leads from Cavalry Drive in front of the pond, and to our sign and information box (visible from Route 39 if you look for it).

The trail then heads uphill to a 30 acre grassland field. A small "island" woodlot is located in the field, with mulched trails. Two benches are also along this trail for stopping to rest and enjoying the surrounding wildlife.

There is 1 mile of trails in total. Maps are available at the information box on the sign.

Enjoy!

Ben-

Thanks so much for posting this.

Can we walk this anytime?

Can dogs on a leash use the trails as well?

This is great-thank you!
Jean

Jean...

Yes, this property is open for walking anytime sun-up to sun-down. A mowed path leaves from the sidewalk on Cavalry Drive (at the base right near Route 39).

Dogs are welcome! But please have dogs leashed that are not well behaved/easily controlled.

Thanks!
