In Livingston County, EMS is provided by integrating 13 transporting ambulance services, 2 fire department first responder agencies, volunteer and proprietary Advanced Life Support (ALS) and the SUNY-Geneseo Emergency Squad on the college campus. The Center for EMS coordinates many levels of EMS education and training, through an agreement with the New York State Department of Health and through coordination with the American Red Cross and American Heart Association.
